Las Ramplas is situated about a five minute drive from your apartment and is probably the toughest, if not the hardest, course I`ve ever experienced.

As the name implies this course was built around and between two “ramplas” or flood river ravines,
which for the most part are dry, only flooding after torrential rain, which you get every now and again in this part of Spain.

The designer, Don José Gancedo, has used the twists and turns of the ramplas to great effect to create a course which
calls for great precision off the tee on nearly every hole.
One criticism, I have heard, of the design is the amount of “blinds,” However, I think, this is the very thing that brings me back again, and again.
This course will really makes me use every club in my bag.

One of my favourite holes is, the par five, forth, “La Plataforma” as it is known locally. Twice, on this hole, you are begged the question “lay up or go for it”.
Remember “birdies” are for the brave, but then again, if you “double bogie” or worse!! Who wants to be brave?
With its high elevation, its trees, water hazards and up and down fairways, this course will challenge the stamina of even the fittest players.
But is that not what makes the game more attractive and interesting.

To cap it all the well maintained, and bunker protected, greens, which are a mixture of large and small, are fast and tricky
If you never used a buggy before this is the course to test your driving skills. Enjoy the challenge.
